But how can you bring extra beauty and importance to your ceremony decorations without bringing extra strain to your check book? Some careful planning and your creative energy can help you to construct stunning elements for your ceremony.

Wedding Day Ceremony Decorations – What’s the feel of the wedding?

First, take a moment to consider the feeling you and your fiancé would like your ceremony to have. Have you always dreamed of regal and romantic nuptials? Or are you more suited to a fun and frivolous display? Is the ceremony in a house of worship with deeply traditional sentiments something you both desire? After the mood of the ceremony is agreed upon, you can turn your attention to appropriate types of décor. A wedding at a large hotel ballroom might require the creation of both an altar and a defined aisle. A country club gazebo may only need a touch of color to dress it up. And a lovely church could call for floral arrangements at the altar to soften the atmosphere. Proper planning and consideration can also help you decide what to create.

Things to Remember

Remember to consider things like weather, ground surface, stability and safety, etc. Anything set up outdoors in a windy area should be secured and pre tested. Careful thought and planning can help you avoid some common problems.

Keep in mind the logistics of the day, also!  Who will be setting your décor out for you that day?  Or will you have to balance that yourself?  We recommend avoiding too much day-of set-up yourself if it is at all possible.  And it you are delegating the set-up of your décor to somebody else, do your best to bring them in on the plans.  Snap a shot of how you'd like the finished pieces to be displayed, if possible.  Always ask for help from reliable people who you trust to do a lovely job.
