Great Wedding Centerpiece Ideas!

There are many wedding centerpiece ideas around today. The definition of the word centerpiece is “Something in a central position, especially a decorative object or arrangement placed at the center of a table“. These beautiful creations are a huge part of the reception décor for your wedding. While your guests may only be at your ceremony any where from 10 to 30 minutes, and the cocktail for about an hour, they may spend four hours or more at the reception! Spend some time thinking about how you would like to decorate the guest tables. The traditional wedding table decor are candles, flowers or some combination of. It used to be that weddings were always light, airy colored affairs with equally light, airy table pieces. While still well loved today, you now have many more options. And you also have choices beyond flowers and candles.

Over the years, I have seen and heard of many types of unique displays. Anything can be a decoration if presented attractively enough. Candy, photos, potted plants, fruit, nuts, individual wedding cakes, holiday evergreens, feathers, grass, Christmas ornaments, tree branches, birds nests, clusters of wheat, vegetables, paper creations, sea shells, colored sands, individual little Christmas trees, bridesmaids bouquets, gift boxes, coral, fall leaves, cow boy boots (yes, you read right), crystals, boas, pine cones, figurines, wine bottles, mason jars, Styrofoam, plastic bugs, books….you name it. A table adornedment can or has been made out of it.

The typical cost of a low end floral wedding centerpiece starts at about $50 and goes up from there. If you have ten tables, and are intending to have a professional florist create your pieces, be prepared to pay at least $500 for them, before tax and delivery. Not in your budget? Not to worry.
